Efficient Energy of Tennessee's 24.48 kW System for Dixie Roofing, Inc. a part of the Knoxville Solar Tour 2009

Spend the first weekend in October seeing Solar energy in action! Start the day with a free educational workshop about solar energy at the East Tennessee History Center, then stop by Krutch Park to talk one-on-one with local solar industry experts and companies. Throughout the day, local homes and businesses that have already "gone solar" will be open for visitors on the self-guided "Solar Tour" to learn more about the success of these solar energy systems. Limited transportation from Krutch Park to several of the Solar Tour sites will be available.

Energy, Treasury Now Accepting Applications for Direct Payments in Lieu of Tax Credits to companies that create and place in service Renewable Energy Facilities

With the goal of expanding development of renewable energy projects throughout the United States and creating new jobs, the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Department of the Treasury today announced they are now accepting applications for a program that will make direct payments in lieu of tax credits to companies that create and place in service renewable energy facilities.
